Salon one year anniversary letter from Starhawk and Donna:
Feb. 2, 2007
Dear
friends and Marija salonistas,
We are at Brigid, the festival of the ancient Celtic Goddess of
fire and water, as well as the anniversary of Marija’s death,
and the one-year anniversary of our Goddess salons. It has
been a wonderful process, developing the salons, collecting the
material, contacting again so many of the wonderful interviewees
for the film.
For now, we’re going to take a break and give the salons a
rest. All the materials will remain, archived on our website,
as a great resource for anyone who wishes to start a new salon,
catch up on one you missed, or do some self study. We may
return to them at a later date, in some other form. The interviews
will remain available on video, and we hope in the coming year to
raise funds to transfer them to a DVD format.
We offer our deepest gratitude to everyone who has participated,
by providing materials, by organizing salons, by posting questions
on our message board.
Thanks for helping to make this the rich and enlightening experience
it has been. Special thanks goes to Marady Hill who has helped
in the organizing of the salons, and to our wonderful webmaster,
Ken Genetti, who has handled all the technical end and done all
the mailings. And deep appreciation to all of you who continue
to support our work,
